Instrumentation and Technology
Noise Sentinel works with an industry standard data logger with a wide range of interfaces to established dust and air quality monitoring sensors. The choice of instruments provides the greatest flexibility for Noise Sentinel to measure the specific pollutants of interest with the required national approvals for each measurement technique. The ability to mix instrumentation provides users with the opportunity to optimise cost. For example, the operator can choose to use a single highly accurate Beta Attenuation Monitor to measure dust to national standards, and lower cost light scattering instruments to indicate dust levels over a wider area. If a user already possesses compatible instrumentation, it may be possible to integrate these and bring everything together in Noise Sentinel. The design of dust and air quality monitoring systems depends greatly on location and environment, as well as legislative requirements. Air quality and environmental experts are often required to help specify solutions. We will work with your experts or use our own appointed experts to devise a cost-effective monitoring approach that meets the project’s constraints. A list of compatible instrumentation is listed at the end of this product data. Please contact your Brüel & Kjær representative for further details.
