Lodge a ticket to contact the depot manager stating what you are trying to do. If it is a few days either side then we will usually find a way to sort it out. If not then we will consider increasing our stock to service your need.

We understand that this can happen if you haven’t managed to collect sufficient data to support your monitoring or if conditions make it unsuitable for measurement. At anytime during measurement you can go back to your monitoring programme and extend the measurement period. You will be advised of any increase in cost. Where there is a conflict such as if the equipment you are using has been reserved for another programme we will contact you and try to work something out.

Let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Lodge a support request stating what you need to do and we’ll contact you.

Our equipment uses standard digital mobile network to communicate noise levels back to Noise Sentinel. To check you have coverage go to site with a mobile phone and check that you have 3G coverage.

Yes you can! Just go to the Noise Sentinel Client and move the location of the monitors using the wizard on the Setup page.

That’s unfortunate. If it was a problem on our side then you will not be charged for the delay.

Even though we provide the instruments with equipment secure it this can happen. You will need to report the theft in accordance with your own insurance programmes. Lodge a ticket immediately so we are aware and we will contact you to help resolve it.

Lodge a ticket, if it’s urgent (it usually is) call the depot manager and they will try to help.

Our equipment can operate off mains power or from a 12V D.C source such as a car battery using the cable we supply. Full instructions are in our technical note available here.

We’ve made it straight forward, you can follow the steps here and watch the NMT Setup video and NMT Setup Application for Mobile Phones video. Our companion smartphone app will confirm for you that everything is ok before you leave site.

You’re right we didn’t, because you don’t have to. When you switch on the instrument it contacts Noise Sentinel which sets it up automatically based on how you configured your monitoring project when you ordered your subscription for that project.

Where coverage is not strong you might find that communication drops out under different weather conditions. Don’t worry, while you won’t be able to remotely view the data it is all stored at site. When communication is restored the noise data will be automatically transferred to ensure that Noise Sentinel has the full set of data.

You will be invoiced when payment is due. We try to make it simple as possible for you, we will invoice in arrears with 30 day payment terms. Once you have used Noise Sentinel-On Demand for the first time and start storing data you will be invoiced monthly for the data subscription.

It depends on how you will use Noise Sentinel – On Demand. There is a subscription per location per month of monitoring if you want to use our instruments. There is also a lower subscription per location per month if you want to use your own compatible instruments. Finally there is a data subscription which depends on how much data you have stored and is required if you no longer gather new data with Noise Sentinel – On Demand. That doesn’t start until more than 2Gb which is equivalent to 20-60 days of noise monitoring, depending on how much audio is generated by the alerts you set up.

Noise Sentinel – On Demand operates in multiple countries with different currencies. Subscription prices are established in Euros. Exchange rate fluctuations and other reasons may require us to alter subscription rates but we will only do this a few times a year. When we do change we’ll announce it and you’ll see it on noisesentinel.com.

We’re sorry that you want to cancel your subscription. The data we hold is yours and you are free to export it and store it locally whenever you like. Once you cancel your subscription we will retain the data for 30 days so you can refer back if there is something that you have forgotten to export. After that time we will delete your account which includes the data, settings and measurement history as well as your username and password to access the platform. Should you change your mind, it will be necessary to re-register on Noise Sentinel – On Demand.

There may be several reasons why your application was not approved and these will be made clear to you during the registration process. If you need further information please contact your depot manger.

The registration process takes a day or two. As soon as its complete you will receive an email from us and your account will be opened for you to start using.

We want to ensure that you have a good experience, Noise Sentinel – On Demand is only available in those areas where we can support it. We are continuously looking to expand, if you are unfortunate enough to live out of range please contact us and we will consider expanding.

Noise Sentinel was originally developed as a long term noise management service for periods of 3 years and more. It has since expanded to include simultaneous monitoring and management of not just noise, but ground vibration, directional noise, dust and air quality.

It is a fully managed service solution where we supply, maintain collect and process the data so that everything is done for you.

Noise Sentinel – On Demand enables short term brings the same functionality for short term applications as short as 1 month. It is currently limited to Noise only and while we supply instrumentation, you are responsible for deploying it to site and returning it at the conclusion of the job.

Great – some people like to use Noise Sentinel for a few months to be sure that it will meet their needs before committing to a longer term for a long term project. If you would like to investigate how much more cost effective a long term subscription rate over a longer multi year term can be, please contact the depot manager and they will have someone contact you directly to discuss.

Part of the registration process is a credit check and you are authorised to use Noise Sentinel to a certain level of credit. If you setup a monitoring program with a lot of locations then you may exceed this credit level. Don’t worry, if that is the case the depot manager will be contacted automatically and they will contact you to discuss how to proceed.

With Noise Sentinel – On Demand, you can use any compatible sound level meter from the 2250 Handheld Analyzer portfolio (2250-L, 2250 and 2270). In addition, you can lease pre-configured portable NMTs that include all accessories required and come with valid accredited calibration certificates. When you use your 2250, you supply your own outdoor microphone, calibrator, router and SIM card, environmental protection, tripod and security accessories. When you register your 2250 for use with Noise Sentinel – On Demand, we guide you through a compatibility check and help you set it up. If you use your own 2250, you can start a monitoring the very same day while delivery times for leased NMTs are 3 days. Other than that, you use your 2250 and Leased NMTs in exactly the same way. 

By the way, if you need to use equipment with accredited calibration, our Noise Sentinel – On Demand Leased NMT is a very cost-effective alternative.

Note, for users who have little experience of network communication, or wish to have a solution where communication costs are covered, our Noise Sentinel – On Demand Leased NMT is a very cost-effective alternative to investing in and setting up routers and communication subscriptions.

Noise Sentinel – On Demand supports newer configurations of 2250 Handheld Analyzer portfolio (2250-L, 2250 and 2270). When you register your 2250 for use with Noise Sentinel – On Demand, we guide you through a compatibility check and help you set it up. Registration for use of Noise Sentinel – On Demand is free and without obligation to purchase. 

We provide guidance on choosing and setting up a router and SIM card and all that is required to connect the 2250 to the internet via a router or LAN. We refer to your network provider’s mobile broadband setup guides and support for professional assistance to ensure optimal costs. 

Note, for users who have little experience of network communication, our Noise Sentinel – On Demand Leased NMT is a very cost-effective alternative to investing in and setting up routers.
